Cybercrime law and the evils that can stem from it

R.A. 10175, the Cybercrime Law, has many good points. It provides protection for cyberbullying, identity theft, child pornography, hacking, etc. But all the good has been tarnished by the inclusion of Cyber-libel and provisions that give undue and overwhelmingly easy to abuse powers that would shackle our freedom of expression and rights to privacy. The worst part is allowing monitoring and seizure of your private information online without due process and a court order.

The

y say that we have nothing to worry about. They say we should just ignore it. But as the image above says: All it takes for evil to win, is for good to do nothing.

If the only way to prevent oppression and abuse of power is to scrap the Cybercrime law, along with all the good it could have done, then so be it and start over. You have the power to make it happen. The government should serve you, the people, not the other way around. Fight for your right to freedom of expression, information, and protection of your privacy. You are the heroes! Servant believes in you!

SERVANT #2 UPDATE

The second issue of the (ideally) bi-monthly Servant comic has been delayed due to uncontrollable circumstances. In the meantime, you can still grab the first issue of Servant through Amazon.com, Drivethrucomics.com or through Graphicly.com . Been meaning to post this since May for my Zeamay's birthday, but I keep forgetting or retouching something in postwork. Anyway, here it is.

Zheya is a "dream child" who by chance or predestiny, became lost on Earth. She has elven-like at
tributes (pointy ears, unusual eye color). With a touch, she can put mortals to sleep and she can perform a dream dance where she can interact with the dreams of people. She also wields a weapon (pictured) that is a cross between a sword and a chakram. She joined the Bayan Knights to both find her way and help people along the way.

SERVANT AND DARNA FANART!!!

Fan art of Darna and Servant in a team-up against whatever villains you can imagine would be on the other side.

I heard that ABS-CBN acquired the rights for the next DARNA iteration and that Angel Locsin will play her again.

I got the urge to create a Darna piece and how she and Servant would look together. I tried to pay homage to all the previous versions of Darna and my own ideas. I didn't want her to look like a specific actress, but what my view of what an "ideal" Darna would look like. Borrowed some ideas from Alex Ross's version of Captain Marvel/Shazam.

The dragon god Berka'Khan (also known as Bahamut, Leviathan, Ōwatatsumi, among others) has had a hatred for the Bathalas since time immemorial. Awakened in the modern age, he finds only one remains: Kabunian's son, Gal Ang/Servant!

Puksa is a living weapon, created eons ago from the remains of a fallen angel to destroy primordial beings. However, an unforeseen side-effect is the raw power drives the host insane. After being dormant for millenia, Puksa is inadvertently reawakened and determines the best way to protect humanity is to destroy it himself!

The Archangel Uriel, slayer of the Sennacherib, hunter of the Nephilim. She is the Archangel who watches over thunder and terror. She is a zealot who has a hatred for Pagan gods. Unfortunately, Servant is a Bathala. One of the most powerful Angels in the eternal choir, Uriel is baffled that the pagan god, Gal Ang (aka Servant), is allowed to walk among mortals. Believing it is her divine duty to correct this error, she leaves her station at Eden's Gate to her soldiers, traveling to Earth on a collision course with the young god.

Kabunian, Skyfather and King of Bathalas, and his wife, Bugan, goddess of love and beauty, standing proudly at the throne of Sinilangan, realm of the pantheon of Bathalas.  Kabunian sacrificed it all to save his heir, Gal Ang, who would become Earth's protector, Servant.  But was Sinilangan truly destroyed?
